Hey Bru,

at the moment I'm taking a short front axel and cv, uni and clamps, bolts and hoses.

I'm keen to see what others normally carry.

I have one somewhere which we used a few years ago and I now have to dig it up again anyway so I'll e-mail it to you when I find it.

Cheers, Thommo.

Done 5 OBC, 1 in a Toyota, 3 in Nissans and 1 in a Rangie. The only time in all 5 events I visited Silver City during the event was to fix the Rangie and it happened twice and they were not minor things either.
Seriously though I have enjoyed all events, even last year in the only car to have competed all OBC!!

Could u post it up as i think there would be a few interested....
Without having done it before its hard to know what to take and what to leave at home. Any other tips by previous competitors would be appreciated. ;)

I have found the list. It will seem to be excessive to most people as most of the items were carried with us. Obviously a lot of spares people carry will depend on their vehicle type and set up.

This list is from when I competed for the first time and really didn't know what to expect from the event or the reliability of the vehicle. The following year we reduced this list and this year I'd say the list of spares for Adrian's Rangie will be a lot smaller again.

Apologies for some of the terminology as it may not be technically correct

Yeah zip ties are a must

There's heaps more consumable stuff we carry that's not on this list as we carry it all the time.

Tapes, tie-wire, welding rods & leads, hose clamps, self-taping screws, batteries for hand-held uhf, head lamp & hand held GPS are just some of these such consumables off the top of my head
