Outer Limits 4x4 Board

Hi
i am trying to find out which gearbox is to be found in the latest 78/79 diesel cruisers.
we have had recurring problems with the weak box found behind the 1hz (R151f?).
the stronger box behind the factory turbo diesel has been fine (H150f?)

I thought i heard a rumour not long ago that toyota began bringing out the 78/79 with a 1hz but the stronger box. Could anyone confirm or deny this with a build date for the change or something?

i have searched for this info without luck

Pretty sure it was the other way round... 80 series and 75 series 1HZ models had H series gearboxes, but with 100 series and 78/79 they went to R series boxes behind 1HZ.

H series gearbox will be in the TD and 4.5 petrol 78/79 series however.
