Just checked out the U bolt flip kit on Superior Engineering website for my HJ60.

A couple of Questions result from this...

1) does the price seem fair....$590 for front and rear.

the second Q may seem a little stoopid, but I have no idea!

2) where abouts do the lower shock mounts go??...at the moment they are attached to the plate that holds the U bolts in.

You need to weld lower mounts onto the diff tube.

To fix this problem I used lowering blocks ( which rise it really ) as the axle is under the springs . The blocks have shock mount pins manufactured into them, made them at work and cost next to nothing.
If you want pics of this, e-mail me and I'll send them thru.

Becareful using blocks, as these will increase the severity of spring wrap, as it lengthenes the lever arm that the force can act on the springs.
Layto....

Old mate owns a cruiser from memory so that would only lower it more.

As for price, with what you get it in that complete kit it wouldn't be two far off.

thanks for the replies guys :)

will keep looking around though, may find something a little cheaper. But I do like the idea of having everything I need in the one package.
