I have a 1989 F300 with no lockable front hubs and some people I know have a 1990 and a 1991, both with lockable front hubs. My questionis can i swap either of their lockable hibs with my non-lockable. I really would like some lockable ones.
Need some help

Is it a straight change or do I need to get other stuff.
PS Any idea if the 91 lockable hubs would swap in OK ??

Have you got the Daihatsu Microcat? That should tell you what parts are different between the models, so you can suss out if anything else would need changing.

Dont know what a Microcat is, but if it can do what you say, where can I get one.
A 2nd hand pair (still on) locally runs for about $175.00 US, no warranty, garantee etc....

Search on Ebay there's some to fit a Rocky for the same price.

Have a look in the FAQ post near the top. It's one of the last things listed in that thread.

Send them a message asking if they'll fit. If not they can most likely get the right ones for you.

If not going the eBay route.. try Repco or a similar parts shop... they can order some in for you. But if they are too much more expensive, someone on here can get them for you, or just sign up for eBay

lots of bargains to be had
Thanks MudRoza.. real helpful
I had my hubs apart doing the bearings the other day.. wish I counted the splines while I was at it

Unfortunatley I live on the other side of the world on the island of Barbados in the caribbean and am not sure what else Australia's Ebay could offer me.
Any other sites I can look at.

I've been quoted at repco for brand new manual locking hub for a whooping 300 bucks a pair

that was like 6 months ago after i've clean out the craps out of my good old hubs

Luckly i didn't need to buy new ones
