Ford never actually stopped making them. They were just not available in any ford passenger vehicles for a few years. Through the XE-XF era i beleive. 82-87 maybe??

yes they were available in the XE the ESP 351 was the last in the falcon i believe?
But in a Ford magazine it says that they stopped in 1982, But looking around I have noticed a few XE V8's that are 1983's

By my book, the last Falcon V8 was a 302 XE ESP, built 25th NOV 82.
A lot of XE's were retro fitted with V8's by their owners, after they were dropped by Ford.

XE ESP was the last, although I thought they were a 351.
You may find XE's with later rego dates - build date and rego date are different, depending on the rules in your state.

ESP's were built with 6 cylinders, 302's and 351's. The last one was a 302.
