Looks like oxy/acet welding? I don't think that emits UV like stick/MIG does but still... you'd be seeing spots for a while

even oxy welding its damn hard to see the pool without goggles
and after about 5 secs your straining your eyes pretty bad

i have seen fellas welding with arc using cut up strips of 44 gallon drum for rods! making all those curios etc in zim

I reckon they're both oxy. Look at the hoses.

early days of arc welding had asbestos wrapped rods pretty hard to find now
with tig they used to gilloteen a sheet into rods
