Looks like oxy/acet welding? I don't think that emits UV like stick/MIG does but still... you'd be seeing spots for a while :D

even oxy welding its damn hard to see the pool without goggles :cool: and after about 5 secs your straining your eyes pretty bad :?

i have seen fellas welding with arc using cut up strips of 44 gallon drum for rods! making all those curios etc in zim

Checkout how the spatter is captured in the pic.

Now enlarge the pic and check out the cigarette lighters just next to them on the floor :shock:

I reckon they're both oxy. Look at the hoses.
How's the guy on the right?? reckon his toes are good or what!

early days of arc welding had asbestos wrapped rods pretty hard to find now

with tig they used to gilloteen a sheet into rods
