Hi
Anyone know if I can swap my 3am airflow meter for a 5am ? 3am is on 91 3.9 rangie and I have a 5am off a 3.9 disco 1994 ?

Anyone know any pin out info to check them . I have compaired the two and they seem the same , well close enough for me , but you never know .

Mine idles the same with it plugged in or not

Well put the meter on and when for a quick drive . Seems to go just the same .
From idle when you give it some gas it drops off a couple of hundred rpm then starts to pick up . Grrr .
Will leave it on for a while and see if the fuel consumption changes with the different air flow meter .

Any other ideas ? Temp sensor ok , tps seems ok .

check the resistance of the AFM it could be out of range - they are adjusted via the allen key bolt in the end of them - see the other thread which is just listed here as AFM

Rotazuk,
Are you the one who changed the TPS?
If not the TPS may be the problem.

Hi
No I have not changed the tps yet . When I had the mega squirt plugged in the tps seems to work ok for that , nice and smoth etc . I will see if I can scrounge one up to try thou . Would carry on with the megasquirt setup but one just had it idling and some bugger stole the laptop .

Cheers
Chris

Ok Have set up the pot to 174 , swap about 300 . I can't access the forum they discuss , not signed up etc so have not been able to check that . Will put my old one back in and see how it goes with that adjustment
