Can disco I wheels be fitted to Disco II?

When I was in the big smoke today, I offered someone some disco I wheels that I have. When I got home, I thought I may have heard that rover changed the stud pattern or something. I was hoping that someone here could confirm one way or the other.

The RRC, Defender and D1 share the same stud pattern, however the D2 shares the same stud pattern as the P38 RR.
