Outer Limits 4x4 Board

I now have rear dissconeect but my hand brake is not good engough if I put a hydrolic handbrake in a tap it into the rear brake line will it put the front brakes on too, by pushing the fluid back up the line?
Ive never had much to do with brakes so forgive my ignorance

it depends on, amonst other things, if your vehicle has dual circuit hydraulics and whether or not it is split F/R. it would help if you stated what kind of vehicle you're talking about.

a driveshaft handbrake on the back of your transfer would probably be better, completely independent of the other braking system. you could even do it with a hydraulic caliper and a separate pedal.

its a zook. It does have two lines coming off the master if that helps.

I don't have time to build a di\sk brake on the tailshaft and don't realy want it hanging down either

What are the cheaper ones your refering too. The ones Pete's using?

i assumed they were cheaper?

Ive made one of those out of existing handbrake and a trailer master cylinder. I was just hoping to find out if It was going to apply my front brakes if I just put a t piece into the rear brakes

why not put a electric line lock on either the front or rear brakes, so you step on the bracks and lock the fluid into the rear them release the pedal and dig, or just use it to lock out the front brakes and use the peddle in digs

I thought of that already but Im trying to save a few $$$. have spent far too much on the zook latley

I just plumbed it all up and when I apply it it fills the front resioir Does any one know what will happen if I gp in throu the bleeders on the drums?
