wired up my bullbar spotlights and they are really dull. I traced all the wiring and have narrowed it down to the wire from the factory highbeam loom that i am using for the switch.

If I run 12v from the battery to the switch and then the switch to the relay they work great but when i use the highbeam wire in the steering column to the switch and then the switch to the relay they are dull.

I am pulling my hair out here because I used the same highbeam wire and switch 12 months ago and they worked fine - I am at a loss :(

It sounds like you are running the switched wire to the wrong terminal of the relay.

You want the wire from the highbeam to go to the switch and then to 85.

A wire direct to the body from 86. (nb 85 and 86 are interchangeable).

The heavy wire from the battery goes to 30.

The heavy wire to the spotlights goes to 87.

You shouldn't have an 87A.
