Re: can i not use a sterring dampiner?
Hi Jamie. You've probably got the truck a bit modded by the look of your avatar but another thing to consider is your insurance. If you start removing things like steering dampners, then you are starting to get into the area of ADR approvals. If something goes all wrong (and it can quite easily and not even be your fault at times) then you might get away with larger tyres and some other mods etc but if a smart assessor noticed the missing steering dampner then you could be in trouble. If the original buggered one was there in place they won't test it but if there isnt one then who knows.jugger wrote:just wondering can i gettaway with not having a steering dampiner ? im just about to get a bomb proof SUPERIOUR tie rod and just thinking wether to put the dampiner back on as there is no provision for a dampiner on the rod . iwould have to buy the bracket for this . i think ive been driving with a dead dampnier anway so im just wondering what others think?
