was wondering what calipers to use?

Mines a LJ70, or bundera as you folks call them. I have fitted the rear discs onto the existing axle.

So, for the handbrake what calipers to use?

I read somewhere, maybe here, that the front calipers from the Subaru will do the job very well.

Ah thanks guts, thought I had read correctly

I don't intend to change the front calipers and as far as I know they are the original type. Ok or not? Front discs/pads and calipers recenlty replaced.

I still run the standard hilux front calipers. But have changed the mc to an 80 series one.

You will need to change over your master cylinder to a 80 series, as the standard MC wont push enough fluid to operate rear discs aswell.

The front calipers are ok, but you can upgrade them with the onces from a V6 4Runner, straight swap but they have larger pistons.

There is a thread on here, search for posts by ozrunner, he is the man to talk to as he has done the same thing on his 4Runner is it stops on a dime!
