Outer Limits 4x4 Board

my pajero smells of petrol after i drive it, i'm pritty sure it's not leaking but what elce could it be? some one sugested the charcoal canister, there is one on the tank and one under the bonet right? the hoses on the tank mounted one (or close to the tank) were stuffed so i fitted new ones and the smell is still there. any one have an idea?
