I have someone interested in my Surf but unsure of QLD laws. The Surf has a SAS in the front (flat lux leaves) and 2" 80 series coils in the rear (approx 4" lift) and a 3" body lift.
Can it be regoed in QLD???

The Body lift wopuld need to be lowered to 50mm and depending on the engineer the SAS may pass. You can only lift a 4wd 2/3rd of the factory bump stop.

Qld modification rules Suck arse.
It sh1ts me that a legal 4wd in NSW is deemed unsafe and unraodworthy and won't be allowed to be rego'd just because it is lifted more than 2".

Well, soon it will be the 2" rule for most under NCOP, then we have an equal opportunity-to-biatch environment.

"Da Hulk" case in point. V8 powered GQ chassis with a Commo ute dumped on top, running 39.5" TSL's, if you look at the photos of it in the mags you can see the rego sticker in one corner of the windscreen. Not disputing the work that went into it.....
One rule for some, another rule for others..........

The V8 in a GQ chassis is no problem, has been done heaps of times and the new body is too much of an issue either. But the tyres would definitely not pass. Even the 80 series that Fourby's tyre have/had was rego'd in NSW, and that had passed brake and swerve tests.
Just because it's rego'd means nothing, how many of us (Qlders) can stick our hands in the air and say our trucks comply 100%, not many if any.
