hey
i have a g16b that im putting into my sierra
i also have a 1.3L gearbox out of a 92 sierra

i have hd clutch
i have 1.3 flywheel
1.3 starter

is the a way i can make the gearbox bolt to my motor without having to buy an adapter plate ?
i have found a few post that say its possible but i havent found any where there is a detailed way of how to do it so if some one could help me it would be most appreciated.

thanks

the top bolts will line up.

The two lower bolts will need tabs welded to the gearbox with holes to line up with the lower holes in the block.

you can also buy an adapter plate where there's no welding nessesory, all bolt together. SuziSport and calmini both sell them

dude ya dont need an adaptor plate, ya will need sum engine mounts modified or made up, as said earlier the top 2 holes line up, the bottom 2 need to be drilled thru the block with sum longer bolts and a bit of a touch up with a grinder to clear the bolt heads on the block or u could use allen head bolts ( thats what i did on mine) the best way to do it is bolt evryting up on the floor or ya engine hoist, bolt up the clutch aswell, with a couple of clamps , clamp the bottom of the box and drill away with a 10 mm drill bit, ya will see what ya need to do when ya drill the holes. also u will need to remove a bit of material of ya starter to fit up against the block because the 1.3 starter will hit the block. you can do all of this on the floor before ya fit it in the engine bay.
