where the hell is the fuel pump relay on my 96mod 80's. the gregorys shows near the pruge/return canister or says maybe down lower but i cant find "jack".

best i could find is an alloy metal box thingy about 70x15x40mm in size infront of the fuel line terminal on the inner passenger guard as it heads towards the fuel filter but the wiring gets lost in the harness.

ultimately i just wanna reduce fuel pressure to change the filter and drain the main tank etc...

thanks in advance.

regards,
nathan

Just crack the line near the fuel filter and slowly release the pressure till there is not left then remove filter

Be careful not to get it in your eye

If you have ABS Have look where the radio antena access hole in the engine bay, mine is there on a 12mm bolt just in side the guard real easy to get at it even has fuel pump written on it. I have seen your truck may be you should get a higher box to stand on!!!!

got another prob now, wouldnt start this morning for ages till i wiggled a few wires where id been fiddeling last night, got it running but now have a real good miss ( like when ur about to run out of fuel between) 1000 and 2500 rpm. got me stumped.

does the fuel pump have a fuse? pull that instead of the relay, same effect.
