Yes, picture is of a "cold spec" RHD HDJ100.
Cold spec because it has the belt driven viscous coolant heater.

I just checked what I was told as I thought I may have misunderstood what was said in a group with other people talking at the same time.
Local injection place quoted $6,000.00 for a new pump, also seems $4,000.00 for a rebuild is plauseable depending on whats damaged of course.
He also said there are only two people rebuilding these pumps in Oz so they must be sent out of town or back to Japan. He also advised that fuel that is not pure and would not damage an old inline pump will cause problems in one of these if it gets in past the filter when I asked about drum fuel. Can you get a price where you got your pump done???

I would suggest that "Cooma Diesel" is one of those two places that could rebuild the EFI pump. Give them a ring (at their Fyshwick address - freecall 1800 637 322), they have always been very helpful and should be able to fill you in on what is going on.

yes the efi pump may be more expensive but as i said my 1hz mechanicle injection fuel pump cost $960 and that was to replace all the seals in the pump cos it was pissing out fuel.
ask toyota what its worth might be cheaper to buy a new one.
