Holden Overlander with GQ's

Post by takearidewifme »

I looking at doing a similar thing to the overlander but fitting GQ diffs with 4 link instead of leaf springs ... do you think it will have any real engineering problems? Ive seen that the original overlander used a dana diff front & rear with a track of 62inch... what would these be out of? and are GQ's around the 62'" track?
Also a dual transmission setup.... would this be engineerable?

I thought about this when my dad got is GQ in 88' , studied underneath and though it would be a goer but the holdens are getting long in the tooth now - i bought a rangie instead.

I wanted to stay away from the holden body on 4by chassis... Surley its a doable thing as they are around and registered.... although with leaf springs
