100 Series Pads Into V6 4 Runner Calipers ?

Post by Bitsamissin »

Has anyone tried this one yet ?
We know that with some trimming that they will fit into post 92 80 Series calipers.
We know that 80 Series calipers basically run the same pad as the V6 4 Runner calipers so logically they should fit ??

100 pads are a direct fit to post late '92 80 series, AFAIK it's only the earlier 80's that you have to trim them to fit.

No experience with the 4 runner, but based on what you said they should be a direct fit.

Can I ask why you would? What's wrong with some good 4Runner ones?

Bigger as in thicker?

From memory when I put new pads in the other week the 4Runner ones practically scrape the edges of the caliper housing anyways so you couldn't fit taller ones in etc.?

OR am I thinking about it wrong?

I'm interested as I have a 4Runner and need the best from the brakes I can get with the 1UZ. ;)
