why not in the back??? Get an AGM battery and you can mount it in the cabin safely.

Good info there :) For reference his prices are reasonable but I got a 120 Ah Fullriver for 250 and the redarc isolator for 85 ;) Add some cabling and stuff and its all done for $400 including a carton for motivation

Mine's going in the back of the cabin in my 4runner :) You want a dedicated socket for the fridge too ($50 all up)... ciggy lighters don't deliver the power they need....

Hope this helps you get started :)

I'm guessing these aren't as cheap as doing it yourself, but very neat. "Dual Battery in a Box" from Opposite Lock.

Hope this helps.

NOTE: Just rang Opposite Lock- $696 excluding battery. Bit dear for what is basically a box and a DBS controller. You could easily build one yourself for a lot less. At least the pic above will give you some ideas on how to do it!
