OK another oil leak has started this time its in the fonrt diif

were the axel gos towards the diff its leak oil out

Is it a hard job to replace

Hi there monkey, no easy to do just did my drivers side on the weekend, I presume your talking about axle seal inside the hub. Need to pull the hub down get yourself a hub kit from Don Kyette $ 80 and has got all the seals, paper gaskets etc required,will need a cold chissel or very sharp screw driver to undo the 2 nuts that hold the wheel bearing in or I think about 54ml socket. Need to take off brake calliper first, undo the 6x10ml bolts on hub undo 50ml nuts then will need to to remove backing plate bolts i think there is 8x12 or 14ml cant remember and go from there when doing back up dont over tighten the 10ml nuts or you will break them off in hub just nip up, will need to repack wheel bearing and get your self some graphite grease for the knuckle a good hand full will be required, and some wheel bearing grease also I cleaned out the knuckle with a rag first get it all out then I use brake clean and spray in and keep going till its clean. Lay everything out on some carboard in order so you know what goes back in where oh year and you will need a shit load of rags, container to catch the oil when you take off the hub if enough oil has got in it will fill the hub,and some hand cleaner take your time youl be write it was my first time on the week end and not that hard at all was surprised. Hi there Monkey ok I'l presume your talking about the diff centre, same thing as mentioned only thing both side's then you undo diff bolts and pull diff centre out, only way if you need to replace the gasket around the diff centre housing, or if its the pinion seal at the front of the diff where the drive shaft is connected to uni joint then piece of piss, just dont overtighten only torque up to correct settings otherwise you will damage the spacer behind cant think of correct name at the moment having a blank moment.
