I have pulled out my front axels again to try and fix the leak but it keeps coming back. I thought it may be a worn axel but it seems ok any one know how to stop them leaking. I have replaced the seal each time. I am going to replace the bearing on the hud where the cv sits in. the seals just keep geting munched towards the rear side of it each time. Any one had this problem and solved it???????????

When I did it on mine over a year ago I replaced every bearing on both sides. This included the top and bottom swivel bearings ..main wheel bearings and needle bearings. Put the new axleshaft seals in and had no issues although I had to grind a few mm off my new thrust washers. If your swivel bearing have a lot of play it may be possible that it is eating seals. If offroaded heavily axle could be bent but might be unlikley. Do some guys not put a sleeve over axleshaft to keep oiltight against the seal. Do you think there is any possibility you are damaging the seal on assembly? It`s just that the manual warns agianst this. Good luck!

GQ axles definately bend at the ball and the telltale sign is swival oil leak.
Are your CV circlips on too stop axle float?

If your axle seals are leaking, order new seals with the inner diameter 1mm smaller than standard.
If your axle is slightly worn that should stop the leak.
Good luck.
