fuel ecconomy of a xj 4.0

as above i would like some feedback on ecconomy of a 4.0l jeep and tips on what to look for when buying thanks.

about 14-16 lts per hundred look for rear and front diffs bearings been done or not(1200 each) after about 140k

1200 - maybe from DC. you can get them for about $400 for the fronts. the rears are cheap cos not whole hub assembly. even cheaper like 150 each direct from states.

as for fuel eco. best ive got on highway driving is 10L/100km. when offroading 16+. best to use high octane fuel like optimax

If going to optimax, make sure your oxygen sensor is working okay. If it's bung you run the risk of running too rich.

i would imagine thats something highly desirable regardless of the fuel used
