Hi all, hello from South Africa once again, if possible does anybody know of a supplier of portal axles for my solid front axle Hilux, I saw an article in the latest Australian 4WD monthy magazine, the article is about the fitment of these Portal axles to a Range Rover.
But in this article there were no contact details of who is doing this mod, all your help will be appreciated.
See my other aticle about what we are busy doing to this Hilux.
Cheers

Without seeing the 4wd monthly article i would think it would be maxi drive in qld fitting portals to a rover.
http://www.4wdworld.com.au/products/maxidrive/
as far as im aware no one is currently making portals specifically for toyotas.

Those portal boxes are made by Maxi Drive, however as stated they are only available for disco/rangie housings.
Marks 4WD were/are/have developed portal boxes for GQ/GU housings, but it was somewhere around $11k changeover... as yet, nothing is available for toyota gear. I would prob end up cheaper for you to chase up Mog 404's or Volvo's
