For those that have had a balljoint flip, what shocks did you put back in. When my brother had his done he had a spacer put on the bottom so as not to bottom the shock. If some one has done Rancho 9000s what model was used? Cheers for the help. :D

BTW, the new look web doesn't look as hard as previous.

Hardly anyone has done this mod on this forum.
And I think only 1 or 2 on Trail Talk did it and from memory they just re-used their standard shock.
You do have to be careful that you don't top out the existing shock with the extra downwards travel this mod gains.
If you check out the Rancho application guide there maybe a longer shock you can use rather than spacing the existing one.

The stock shock is fine.

I would be more worried about getting too long of a shock and having it get screwed up during compression.

Having it bottom out while extending is fine. The rear shocks do it all the time and they last for ever.

Just wait till you start bending idler arms and other fun stuff.

I do miss the extra down travel it gives, my new truck feels tippy without it.
