well ive got all the bumpstops off the car and am about to cut them down, how far did u guys cut them back, i want to cut most of it off (i know this will increase cv angles at flex) but still leave rubber on so i dont get harsh bumps.

I cut mine about in 1/2... I think I cut it just the other side of the 'join line'

I only took about 10mm off mine - from 25mm down to about 15mm.
If you go too far the rubber will compress and the bolt heads become the stops - countersunk bolts helps here.

I went probably just over 1/2 with one side and te other I went to far by accident and is only 2-3mm higher than the bolt. But i never here any clunking, but I guess it doesnt drop 2 far as I have the tortion bars wound up.

This is what I did to mine.
Cut them down to about 10mm and used low profile hex bolts (make sure you Loctite those suckers).
You can go anymore than that as the metal backing is domed to help the rubber bond after the vulcanising process.
I had a 65mm torsion bar crank and could still fit my index finger between the stop and bracket. Worked well...........
