hi i just brought a diesel gxl 80 series and the gearbox had been recod by the dealer. now its home i have discovered the center diff lock is not working so iv looked under the car and the wires that run to the center difflock are not plugged in. now my problem is when they pulled the gear box out they must have smashed the plug so i have no idea what wires are ment to be joined together, and typical toyota the colors dont match up. so i was wondering if anyone would know where i would be able to find out the correct combination for the wires. i had a few random trys but there is 5 wires so there would be many different combinations.

any help would be appreciated

The lcool website used to have something about unplugging the switch to make difflock manual in hi and lo range, not automatically on in lo range. The description gave the colour of wires and which ones to unplug if memory serves correctly. This might help. I think the website is

Go the the wreckers and get a s/hand gearbox wiring loom it plus into the main loom near the starter motor and just plug it all in. Make sur you get the correct one thou thers not that many but you would want the right by build date.
