Hi Guys, just looking to clear up a few things to go with Hilux gearbox's

I know there is R154, strongest. W56, the midweight and the little 1 the G52!

What I doing for a fun project is getting together a few bits for the build, Thinking to use the W56 as I think it would be better than the G52.
I was going to use the R154 but is seams they go for a premium.
As I am about to search for W56 and matching transfer case, what model does it come from?

Anyone here have a list of what gearbox is fitted to hilux's from Gen 2 onwards :?:

Anyone here have a blowen up w56 for my to play with?

R154 is a twin turbo Supra gearbox not a Hilux
use a R151 out of a surf
If you spend the $$$ on a R1## gearbox it will be cchheeaappeerr on the long run
I have been doing a cut & shut on the R1## gearboxes so the geardrive transfer case bolts on so there is no modifiing cross members or tailshafts

Sorry, it was the R151 I was refering to, you know much about the "W" series 4wd gearbox? Is it out of 97 and later Hilux, non turbo, the replacement of the G52?

What is wrong about the "W" series in 4wd, I know this in 2wd versons can handle good HP in big cars?
