EXO cage question

Can get an exo made up for me quite soon for free. Was looking at designs on pirate and came up with a couple I liked. Want something simple to protect me in the cab and some of the front, dont want over kill.

Question is, what can I do with my safari snorkel?

I want to keep it, but its going to be majorly in the way of every design I have looked at. Any one have some ideas of what I can do to overcome this?

Sell it and make one of those home jobbies like drafty's but because you run a mix master donk just use bling crome vacuum cleaner pipe some come with bends in it should be able to get enough from cash converters.

Nah seriously if you want an EXO the snorkel may have to go for something more custom unless you can work out a way to cut and shut the snorkel through a plastic welder or sumthin.

I have my snorkel tied into my exo cage. i used 3" Steel pipe for the snorkel and it actually is strong enough to support the vehicle when I lay it on its side :D

what about if u ran ur tube for the roll cage on the top of the snorkel and just get rid of ur ram
ive heard that if u rip the head off u can get up to 17kw more from ur motor
or u could put the tube straight through the snorkel tube and leave the ram on

i would cut the snorkel and get it plastic welded so it sits further away from the windscreen so the exo tube can hug the body symmetrically on both sides and (more importantly) with less bends.

We were originally going to use the exo cage as the snorkel with the outlet behind the cab but didn't think the moghty 1.5 would be able to breathe that well like that. The cage and snorkel don't interfere with my forward vision at all.

i actually need the ram as it protects the intake from mud and crap as i lean it into the banks on Glenburn all too frequently :finger:

Yeah, sounds like the best bet.

Where would one find a plastic specialist for a job like that?

i would ask on a motorbike forum cos they always need their bodywork fixed

you could also try some panel shops - most of the snorkels are made of Polyolefin - same as most black bumpers.

Yup!

Designs are on my PC not this one, so will when I get back to the hill.

Will only be for cab and fenders, wont extend it to the tray.

Will keep you updated.

Feel free to post ideas etc for me to look at.

Here is a pic of the start of mine. It should be finished within the next couple of weeks.

The lower section of the front bar will look similar to this one when finished. But with the top similar to the second pic.

The roof will look like this one. This is Tin Benders personal rig he just built at a total cost of $600US from basicaly ground up.

The front guards and below the screen will be covered similar to these 2.

The rear end will end up looking similar to Jay Kopinski's(sp) ROKTOY but with a flat bed like Tailight's rig.

This is Tailight's rig after Tin Bender finished it.
