Going to do a V6 conversion
Ive got a 2.6 and want to put a 3.5 front end in.
1. Does anyone know the outside diameter of the inner spline where at the diff end (28 spline)

2. Rumour has it front diff different from rear 28 spline diam, any one help

The inner spline diameter is about 29 mm.
The outer where the manual hubs go on are about 27.5mm the axle half shafts are about the same.
I think the 4 cylinder is about 25mm inner spline diameter.
The front diff is 8" diameter in the 3.5 V6 and 7.25" for the 4 cylinder.
The 28 spline (4 cylinder & 3.0 V6) rear axle is 30.5mm diameter, the 3.5 V6 rear axles are 31 spline and 35.5mm diameter.
Be carefull of the CV/axles there's quite a few part no's and different lengths. The auto's had different CV's for some reason so it's better to buy the diff assembly as a whole complete with axle tubes and CV's.
In regards to the strength of the 8" front diff and CV's I would say they are one of the strongest IFS set ups around, way stronger than any Toyo IFS. They do break stuff occasionally but it is pretty rare, I couldn't manage to break a front diff or CV but broke 2 rear axles (30.5mm) and mine copped a real pounding believe me. :D
