Hello,
i have a 1994 nissan patrol with td42 engine and manual transmission. the car is stock apart from de wide wheels,31x10.5r15 tires and bilstein sport shocks. we dont use this car for off road.we use only it for long journeys.
i want to import from USA a chevrolet corvette 5.7 v8 ls1 engine fuel injected.
here are the questions:
-what parts need to come with engine?
-what top speed my car will have?
-how many seconds 0-100km/h?
-what brakes rotors size i must install?
-what suspension mods i must do?
-is the gearbox and the whole transmission system able to cope with power?
i will fit 20 inch or 22inch wheels with low profile tires for on road/performance use.
the engine will make approximately 300kw.
thank you

Becuase they are up there with the best and are one of the few people who make adapters for your conversion!
you will need the engine and complete loom
22" rims
ls1 v8 and long trips in place of a Td42

-what top speed my car will have? At a guess, close to 4000 km/h
-how many seconds 0-100km/h? 32s
-what brakes rotors size i must install? Big ones required for 4000km/h
-what suspension mods i must do? Nothing, the mighty Bilsteins and stock springs will handle it.
-is the gearbox and the whole transmission system able to cope with power? No, you will need a gearbox out of a space ship, the Enterprise should do it
i will fit 20 inch or 22inch wheels with low profile tires for on road/performance use. Just cause you can ...
Never thought I'd say it, but I'm with Bruce on this one ...

While we're at it, how long is a piece of string and will it drive through dimensional gravity on 2 wheels?

What parts? Dunno never done one.
Whats top speed? Well turbo sixs (which have maybe abit more power) can easily do 200+km/h
0-100? what ever a commodore does plus 2secs. (at a guess)
Brakes? Biggest you can find, Factory stuff is 2pot of a 4.8GU, but you can do it with std
susp mods? well depends how its going to be used. going by the big rims, why bother it aint even going to be parked on teh grass to be washed.
gearbox/trans strength? Yep the 5spd is heaps strong so the transfercase, but depending on how you drive it may be hard keeping clutches up to it.
Big rims? Yep they will fitt, as the overall dia will be less than 29". This is less than the std wheels/tyre combo it came with.
Now a question for you. Why do this?

I wouldn't wanna do too high of a top speed in a Patrol
If you do not go offroad and only do long trips... Buy a Commdore!
Then you can have a LS1 in it standard
Then you can put 22inch rims on it and be a bogan
