SWB fuel economy over LWB

DO swb GQ's achieve better economy than the LWB, becuase of less weight in both the petrol and diesel?

They should, But my diesel didnt seem to be very different from the LWB.
As for my Petrol auto swb, well it needs a tune. So it just suxs. But on gas its still cheaper than my diesel.

I had an SWB and a LWB Mav, the SWB was way better on fuel. It also made a huge difference what size tyres were on it, as the 29ish inch cheesecutters may have looked pathetic but they saved 5 litres per hundred ks compared to the 32" muddies.

Yes.... anything where the weight is so much less is gonna make a noticable difference.

However, most of the benefit is gonna be in low speed or stop start driving (city).

Out on the highway, with the same aerodynamics (of a house brick) the difference would be much smaller.
