shorty front drive shaft

do all the shorty mks hav a double looking universal joint directly after the transfercase as mine has and was just wondering how much replacing this part would be as lately its got a bad knock about it

yep. In the front tailshaft. I bought a lwb tailshaft of ebay recently, cheap as chips.

i tried this once not too much hassel it will cost you about 80 ish for new uni joints ... though when pulling it apart there is a ball in the center of the double cardinal joint with bearings inside it mine exploded and shot all the bearings out and i could not find another ball anywhere in the end i went and bought a ute front tailshaft (works a treat and is a bit beefier)

its not that difficult though that may be better as i ended up spending about 200 after stuffin one up and then having to buy another tailshaft

Or..... you can buy one off me for $100 in excellent nick from one of my turbo diesel SWB collection.... I got about 3 spare at the moment.... ;)

yeah patrol dude that might be feesable in the next week or 2 also just a qs about the power steering in the shortys are they a heavy type of steering or is mine fkd...as mine is usable just heavier than most 4bs i hav driven ie hiluxs and cruisers (31x10.5s)
