When I am in 4wd both hi and low range I am getting a loud clunking/clanging sound. Its only when I am spinning the wheels, like going through deep mud or climbing in sand. I thought it could be a hub on its way out or maybe it has something to do with the torsion bars been wound so much (unhappy cv angles or something). Could anyone shed some light on this? I cant feel it through the excellerator or anything either and it definately doesnt happen in 2wd.

Got bumpstops?

I reckon you're getting "tramp" while the wheels are spinning, and there's something hitting somewhere. I think you'll have to crawl under and look for signs of things hitting.

Good luck,

Scott

Try looking to see if your mounts are shot. They may have ripped somewhere.
Don't remenber the tail shaft being close to any thing but see if there are some wear marks indicating that it is hitting, rubbing.
