I have been given a Motorola GM300 (HF I Think??) radio for nothing and was wondering if it is any good to me? What is the primary use for the HF band? I already have a UHF in the 4WD but was looking at getting one for the boat. Was thinking this might do the job considering it was free... Just looking for a bit of info and what they're good for.
Cheers!

The Mototrola GM300 is a commercial radio, usually has 4 or 16 channels and is either VHF or UHF. if you can give me all the numbers on it i can tell you what band it is in and what it is good for.
Cheers
