Anyone seen the swb cruiser for sale on e-bay?

I keep hearing of engineers knocking back mods but then there's this thing:

What do people think of this thing? Not the work put into it, just the way it looks?

To quote an infamous red-head, I don't like it. Just looks wrong - too much lift / tyres too small / arches the wrong shape.

Anybody like it?

Scott

I mean "that thing" gets an RWC etc. and lots of lesser mods are getting knocked back?

I think it looks sort of ok but like some promo trucks, yeah, wankmobile

Bling Bling show pony = farking stupid!!!
why build up a big 4wd for a show pony why not hot up a commadore or sum other 2wd car its just adding to the amount of difficulty you have to go through to get anything engineered!!

Thats alot for a 40, even with the amount of work that they say has gone into it. I think it just looks really high cause it doesn't have huge rubber... 33"s/31"s on atm??

I think the build looks great and all credit to them, but the car itself is a bit funny. The lift looks too high for the rubber, the axle too far forward and what in the hell were they thinking when they put AT's on it. I like the Chev though.

28 grand is far too much........ i don't care who built it or what's in it.... any car will never make back what it's worth. Saw one similar up here with a 351 in it and running on 35's, looked every bit as high and from reports was very well done... it sold for less than half what they are asking.

You pretty much summed up my thoughts.

I'd say thats the biggest tyre that they could get engineered, maybe they are being responsible and are selling it fully road legal :) .

It seems to be a bit lower in the ass and the front tyres look too far forward

I dont like it. Too "wank factor".

the front looks like itsbuilt to take a 38" tyre, while the back you might get away with a 35 but definantly no bigger without some guard chopping

so why bother moving the front diff so far forward etc when theres no way you can fit big tyresd in anyway cause of the back end???

its fugly... its a 40 series.... its not gonna sell at that price, and if it does i will cry.

It looks like they have moved the diff forwards heaps. would fit some massive tyres under there tho :D

Something is only worth what someone will pay and i don't think people looking for a serious 40 series for a 4wd won't buy it but some rich kid looking for a weekend beach car or some BS like that might pay that :?

I like DRS' better  haha

The front looks weird.. and as said, the back wont take a much bigger tyre anyways.. Yeh, from pics they look like BFG A/T.. not bridgeys.. mite have changed them after the pics were taken.

is it just me or are they some whack front shock angles???

(obviously to stop rubbing at the front but... wtf?)

As per other topics, how could this possibly be engineered? Doesn't it have to have mud flaps on the driven wheels that are no more than 300mm from the ground??

Look at the picture with the car side on with the chick in it.

The shocks at the front are on a 45 degree angle because the axle is so far forward :D

I guess they couldnt move the top mount forward for some reason

yep.... end of the day.... its a 40 series.... no way in hell its worth 29K...

not gunna happen.... can build something the same, that just doesnt look as bling for about 5 K...

i reckon he would struggle to get 15 for that at best i reckon he would struggle for 10K unless to the right bloke... and its only a cruise mobile, not offroad :? wats the point :?:

shock setup looks better then most as they are mounted at nearly the same angle the diff will move on compression

Exactly - thats how mine was ;) It is easier on the shock as it follows the spring through its travel. Particularly on the shackle reversed suspension

Thats just an oxford st pimp mobile, the build quality looks good but its still an over priced wank mobile !

I like it. It looks like it has some good build quality. It is obviously sitting on smaller tyres than it is setup for engineering purposes. I don't see why it couldn't be engineeered and Road worthy. Just because it is big doesn't mean thhey havven't done the right thing and built this with an engineer from the start. Price wise I agree a bit high but it will come down in price when they don't sell
