I've got them front and rear on my MK patrol. A hell of a lot of work was involved...

All drop shackels are Poo
Hmmm Axel Wrap, Unforced Articulation, and a flexed corner of the car that wont take weight till the shackle has folded back up again
Mmmm Stable

yeah i used to have them on my old rodeo they worked ok but one thing you must have is long springs a mate had them on his hilux with 4inch parabolic springs and they would not work im not to sure but i think the boys at superior were running xd falcon leaf springs so they could get the length but as i said im not to sure on that

Was at an rti (ramp travel index) and a guy had some on his suzuki and they wouldnt drop when he wanted them to unless he smashed them with a hammer! After that don't think i'll get them.

Well ok then. Would it be possible to make up something that has the twisty thing on the shackles.....The bit that attaches to the spring.
