Bundy front end flex ;)

No it's not what you think
I'm looking at doing a coil bundy SAS on my 4Runner and after reading everything last night I could find here on Bundy's and their apparent lack of flex I have a few unanswered Q's:
If the arms are so badly designed to not flex, what would be some suggested approaches in arm designs when starting from scratch? There is significant emphasis on on-road poise so i don't want no booty fab set ups that offer dirty flex.
I know for instance that the 3link (?) rear on the 4Runner flexes very well without s-bars and with long shocks, so can the front be set up similar to this somehow?
What are the pro's of a 5 link in general and why does it make better flex? (i'll try search this one after posting ) I'm just getting my head around the design side of suspension, so any n00b info is appreciated.
And has anyone got access to any coil front end shots showing different set ups?
