In 4x4 Monthly, they said that a good modification to do was to replace the Sierra carbie with a Vitara one instead. Has anyone heard of this being done before. I've heard of plenty of people doing this with the Webers, but this doesn't interest me as I've heard the Vitara ones better for 4x4ing, what does everyone else think?

Best option for 4X4 is injection, which isnt that hard. Search through the Bible for threads.

Hi gwarness,

I'm getting this done as one of my Sierra mod's next month at 4Play Offroad in Vic. I'll let you know how it peforms over the stock carbie when I get it back & on the road in a couple of months time :) Apparently it should go better on fuel & will get rid of the 'hesitation' problems, which is one of the issues I have with mine at the moment.

I believe this is a bolt on.

Can anyone confirm this? I will check my one with a stock carb spacer gasket when i get a chance.

Can the stock acc cable be used?
