Ok here's the 411 fella's

I am doing some work for a frend who has a GQ 2.8TD (don't laugh) and he's having some issues with the glowies

The problem is that the timer doesn't stay on long enough and its impossile to start int he morning or in the cold.

Now i was wondering what does the Glow plug timer get its temp readings off to tell if the engine is hot enough? does it come off the water temp sensor or is there another set of sensors i need to look at?

It has got its own sensor .... There are 3 sensors right besides each other in the head, cant remember which is to what ...
If it isnt the sensor, bypass all the timing relays and install a manuel button, will save you alot of trouble in the future ...
