One of my young rels is interested in a 00 model Jeep Grand Cherokee V8 auto and is considering converting it to gas. Anyone done this? Anyone got any idea of litres per 100 k's on petrol, on gas? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Don't know of any GRand V8 on gas, but someone else may know of some.
Most of my driving is semi rural type stuff, and I would average 13-14lt/100km, on the highway closer to 12. This is from my 2001 Grand V8.

I have also noticed an improvement when I run on PULP

Thanks for that, PK. It seems very economical for a large V8. I'm sure the young fella will be grateful for the information.

Thanks billsta. I'm sure my young rel won't be as lightfooted as you are. My guess is that he will be lucky to get 20 in the city if that is the case.

We get around the 14-15 mark . 1999 4,7 v8.

At 20 the trips would be pretty quick !

Thanks, Dozoor
None of your replies seem to have lessened the young bloke's desire, but he seems to be having trouble sourcing one.
