Whats involved when it comes to checking the valve clearences on my 12H-T? How much would it cost to get a mechanic to do it? roughly?

Hardest part is turning the motor over to the correct adjusting point....only because you need to remove the fan and shroud and they are difficult to extricate ..
anyway when i did mine I cut the lower half of the fan shroud and made it removable so now I only remove two M6 bolts and can get access to the crankshaft nut (ps you need a 46mm socket)
and a bit of patience
