I chipped the surface on my swivel hub yesterday and was wondering how to repair it so the seal won't leak. The chips about 1mm deep and about 2-3mm round.
Should i try weld it and grind/polish it back up or could i try fill it with some arrildite or something.
Any suggestions would be great as i've just had them rotated and about to fit them up.
Thanks Damien

Bugger ! what about some kind of quick metal or devcon filler, dries hard as steel.

I have used that but it falls apart too easily without something to stick to, devcon is a 2 part epoxy that dries hard and can be drilled and tapped if needed, try an engineering supply or bearing shop for this or something similar.

Use an oil stone to smooth it out, with oil of course

I have heard a few people claim that araldite or epoxy resin works well (sand back smooth with wet and dry).
