Hey all,
I have an 82 MQ SD33, I recently had it off the road to repair a couple of things, brakes etc. I took it for it's first run in about two months today and noticed that once warm, when I stop, with the clutch in or out It revs high!
it seems to stop when I touch the throttle, but sitting at lights etc. it's going hard.
I checked vacum lines on pump, checked "throttle butterfly" position, I looked at filters, fuel lines etc. etc. Anyone experienced something similar?
Anyone please help! do I need to get my Pump rebuilt?

check the obvious first..ie butterfly fully closing...trottle cable snaging....vacum pipes on the correct way around(if removed??)...cold start gubins operating incorrectly(the electric motor and links that advance timing and add extra fuel for starting..if thats staying open, then will cause no end of trouble..dissconect it to check..)

What postion should the butterfly be in? I checked this arvo and it was fully closed? is this correct at idle?

Well that's where it is, so that excludes the butterfly. Do you think it could be a gasket internally on the pump?

Its the diaphram in the injector pump.

Does that mean a complete re-build or can I get a seal kit?
