can i run hilux rears up front with the front hanger in the stock location, i am only chassin about 3" of lift.
i have heard that the shackle may hit the body mount, but its not a problem for me to trim it a bit or make some bannan shckles like budbuilts.
will the spring clear the pitman arm on the ifs box, i will be running standard x over with the box as far forward without cutting the rad support.
what pitman arms are you guys runnin on x over setups?
cheers

i am using a 100 series pitman arm with my snake racing hi-steer..
altho i am runnin a 3" drop 3" forward hanger with IFS rears/44044's and banana shackles and it hits the body mount on droop so i have 2 notch the mount and brace it

No it won't work!
I use 2" dropped front mounts but in the standard location with a standard length rear spring. I usually run 2" extended shackles but when I was done by the cops I wanted to change back to standard shackle length. So I installed a standard length shackle and the eye of the spring rested against the bottom of the chassis. Basically the shackle was horizontal and that was at ride height with no allowance for compression. The only way that it may be possible is if you run a shackle mount that is attached under the chassis rail as opposed to thru it. If you space it back as well you may be able to achieve a proper shackle angle.
Hope that makes sense

thanks dreama, but i will be using standard rears in front not ifs rears, which as i undestand the standard rears will move the diff 2" forward with the stock hanger.
the only probs i can see will be pitman arm clearance and shackle hitting the chassis.
i should be able to fix the shackle angle buy doing what beebee sugested and put the shackle mount under the chassis with standard shackles and maybe an inch or two further back. should keep the cops happy that way to.
so all i really need to know is will the spring clear the pitman if i use a 80 series pitman arm? i will probly also be runnin about 2" longer bumpstops to help the spring last longer
cheers

All dependent on what angle you mount your box at.

dude it depends on what model the rear springs are out of!
I've put 2002 rears in the front of my 84 lux and we had to weld on new perches about 4.5" back from the original mount holes through the chasis. the diff moved about 2" forward and it flexes like a bitch!
Cheers chris
