78/79 siderails to a 75

Post by Joombi »

G'day fellas,
I got hold of a winchbar, winch & siderails for my 75 ute but they are off a 79 ute (not ifs), the bar went on no problems but the siderails were a bit tricky, i eventually got them on but there are two lugs that point down & back at about a 30 degree angle from the floor on the bottom of the bar that connects to the chassis, just to give you a mental picture...you could connect a bar between them under the x-member.
now the question, does anyone know what these lugs are for???
if they are not needed, I'll just grind them off beacause they hang down about 30-40mm below the x-member.
thanks.
