i've fitted longer springs and now have about 3-4 inches of lift in the front and 2 in the rear, sits pretty level.

i will be getting a wheel alingment and am wondering if the best way to go is to have the factory settings restored. ie camber and toe in/out.

i know i will have lost castor and will be getting the swivel balls slotted to suit.

#2 i hav a vibration in the front at about 62km/h. i guess its the front propshaft... is the double carden front off te d2's the go??

i've been told that the pertol one costs 1/2 that of the diesel and that they are exactly the same.... is there any mods to do to them. like wide yokes???

What model Landy? Is it a 'fender Td5?

ALL the Defenders from 1999 on that I have seen lifted 2"and more have had a vibration problem from the front shaft .

Stangely, the same doesn't happen as often with Tdi models... I wonder whether Rover altered the basic geometry and introduced a caster change for the 99 Model year, and this seems to have made Td5 models worse even when lifted a little. Just an observation.

Try the D2 front shaft, its expensive but with a transfer case flange kit from the disco, will bolt straight on. I've always ordered diesel shafts, I'm not certain what the difference is with the V8.
