making steering work with gq diffs and leaf springs

How would i go about putting gq diffs under my hilux i cant seam to work out how to do the steering. How do you get the drag link to miss the leaf pack at the knucke end?

You would have to make a high steer arm.

I've seen where they pick up on the standard point and the king pin like to toyota arms.

Thanks steve but i rang him last night told me about a hysteer setup that craft differentals do but 'TSL' pmed me and told me that he no longer makes them..Does any one know if poor hysteer made by wendle would worl with leaves?

Jake heres some pics from the Thread that Wendle posted in the Nissan Bible may help with seeing where the New posi of the tie rod will be ..........But from memory without reading back through that thread Carlton had the tapers for the TRE's cut back through from the other side to raise it even further .....so you will have to take into account that the tierod will be lower than pictured

hi jake

J Mac Diff & Gear in Sydney did make high steer arm for 80 series & gq patrols but don't know if they still do or not

Yep thats where hypo got his done but "TSL" said they dont do them any more

Maybe bubs off the board can design and fab sumthing up to suit your needs Jake


Or heres is John mcdonalds phone no. although this is and old pm I had saved so the no. may well be changed may be worth a call

The guy that does the histeer arms is john mcdonald his number is

Here is a close up of the J Mac Histeer arm, give John a ring 9671 5800 he might do one for you but I don't think so, your best bet would be to go and have a talk to him.
