Hey guys,
just searching the net for a local laptop cradle manufaturer with no luck.
I am now looking at making my own.
Anyone done this or have pics of what they use?
Thanks

Thats a bit pricey. they are easy to make as i have made one. i will take some pics. it is not fitted as i now use a 8inch LCD touch screen instead and just have the laptop in the back.
Cheers
Simon.

no offence, but $1000 for a slow pc with no screen is a bit ridiculous....
Hope you didn't buy one...

Just got back from the Caravan Camping Holiday Touring Extraveganza Show.
CAMEC have these little mounting arms - about $70. Bit exxy but a good basis on which to build your own cradle. There's another model with an extra joint
Maybe just watch it doesn't interfere with occupant legs in an accident.
Check out
http://www.camec.com.au/ under TV equipment.
Maye have a look through 4WD Monthy or similar, look at ads for 12V LCD TV etc, follow them up too.
I just bought a little Fujitsu Tablet PC off eBay - it's cool, has wireless keyboard too. Will load Rovacom and maybe some GPS stuff and maybe a camera....

here is a pic of the VGA, LCD Touch screen that i use. i just keep the laptop behind the seat, Cost me $200 but allows me to have a passenger compared to my old mount.
Cheers
Simon.
OLD MOUNT. Hard to see but you get the idea.
NEW SCREEN.
