Outer Limits 4x4 Board

I am selling my BA falcon and getting a dual cab 4x4. I want the dual cab so i can use it for camping trips with the family, and take the kids with me a lot of the time anyway.

I wanna keep my spends to 10k. I drive from Mornington into the city a couple of days a week, otherwise just local driving, or camping trips. SO a 4x4, but no river crossing or cliff climbing capablities needed.

Whats the best all rounder in this price range that is still ok to drive as every day car - i dont know if i could handle non turbo 4cyl diesel.

Been looking at Hi Lux dual cabs, what else is worth considering, Triton ? Maybe a Bravo, or a Courier?

Another question i have on this topic is how much would it cost to have a turbo fitted to a non turbo diesel hilux?

Thanks Scott. Yeah i like the idea of a TD Rodeo or Hi Lux.

So stay clear of 2.4 Hiluxs for daily drivers? 2.8 is fine? even non turbo?

I notice unless you get SR5 you have a vinyl interior etc, is Rodeo the same, or a little more car like inside?

Pretty sure only the up spec LT Rodeo's have carpet but I've seen new full carpeting for Rodeo's on ebay for under $150 I think it was. Search Ebay: "holden Rodeo"

Mine's got vinyl with el cheapo rubber mud mats. It's easier to clean
A t/d Rodeo would be cheaper than a t/d Hilux for a comparable model/year etc.
Both are pretty good, the Hilux better offroad with more ground clearance. If you get an SR5 you get IFS, if not, you get solid axles (even better offroad) All Hilux's have IFS after mid to late 90's and all Rodeo's have IFS.
